Rescheduling an appointment you can't make
A missed appointment is not free. Most practices charge a no-show fee somewhere between $25 and $75, and some will not rebook you at all until it is paid.
Rescheduling is also the call people most often skip, because it feels small and it happens at the worst moment — you realise on the morning of, while you are already late for something else.
It takes about a minute to hand off. We call during their office hours, not yours.
The referral came through in August. Every time she opens the clinic's page it says appointments must be booked by phone, and every time she closes it again. By October the referral has expired and the whole thing starts over.

Usually a name and date of birth is enough to find an existing appointment, and you provide those when you set up the task. If a practice insists on something more sensitive, the agent stops and tells you rather than reading it out.
