Delete your account and data

This page explains how to delete your Bookingami account, and the data held with it. Bookingami is developed and operated by Null Pointer Apps.

How to request deletion

Email shawntsia@gmail.com from the address you signed in with.
Use the subject line Delete my Bookingami account. That is all the message needs to say — we match the request to your account by the sending address.
We reply to confirm, then delete the account. Requests are completed within 30 days, and usually within a few working days.

If you can no longer send mail from that address, write to us anyway and tell us which address the account uses. We will ask you for something that shows the account is yours before deleting anything.

What gets deleted

Deleting the account removes, permanently:

Your account itself, and the sign-in linked to it
Your name, email address, profile photo and callback phone number
Every call you asked for: the business, the request, your notes, and the times you gave
Every call transcript and outcome we hold
Saved regulars, saved contacts and your assistant conversations
Anything found in your inbox, if you had connected Gmail

Bookingami does not record call audio at all, so there is no recording to delete — only the written transcript.

What is kept, and for how long

Records of payments — that a subscription was bought, when, and for how much — are kept for up to 7 years after deletion, because tax and accounting law requires it. They hold no call content and no transcripts.

Server logs that mention your account may survive in backups for up to 90 days before they age out. They are not used for anything once the account is gone.

Deleting some data without closing the account

You do not have to delete the whole account to remove things:

A single call — open it in the app and delete it. The transcript goes with it.
Inbox suggestions — disconnect Gmail in Settings. Everything found there is deleted the moment you do, and we keep nothing from it.
Anything else — email shawntsia@gmail.com and say what you want removed.

Your subscription

A subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store is billed by the store, not by us, and deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it first — in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, or in App Store settings — or it will keep renewing.
